Last week a brief review

Tuesday afternoon saw a meeting of the Gamesley local action group, which is organised by High Peak Community Housing to bring together local residents and a number of the various agencies working on the estate to consider things going on in the area.

A good meeting well attended by local residents with some interesting plans coming up including the festive market, bonfire night plans and the forthcoming Christmas Panto.

Wednesday evening saw a meeting of the Audit and Regulatory Committee which amongst other items considered reports on the annual governance report from the audit commission, internal audit and risk management along with updates on the crescent and changes to the constitution.

Friday saw this month's High Peak Labour Party over in New Mills, a good mix of items under discussion including this years report from our annual conference delegate John McGrother.
