Should there be a friends of Gamesley park’s group ?

Gamesley Councillors Anthony Mckeown and Dave Wilcox along with Hadfield South Councillor Bob Mckeown are inviting Gamesley residents to join them for their latest councillor’s surgery, this Saturday 7th August.

In addition to looking for any of local residents complaints, grumbles and perhaps even compliments on council services. The Gamesley trio, are particularly looking for your views on whether there should be efforts made to set up a friends of Gamesley park’s group.

Councillor Anthony Mckeown said “Our local parks are well used, but with the help of local residents in a friends group, there could be options to improve our parks faster than the council can because of limited funds”

To collect views on this issue the councillor’s have put together a quick survey asking for local’s views on whether there should be a group and if there is what that group should concentrate on.

The survey will be available to complete at the surgery or it can be completed online at http://bit.ly/fogps, copies of the surgery can also be picked up from the GRA Office on Winster Mews.

The surgery run’s from 11.00am till 12.00pm and locals are welcome to call even if they don’t have a particular issue or grumble to raise with the councillors, it takes place in the Gamesley Resident’s Association Office on Winster Mews on Gamesley

Councillor Mckeown added "If you are unable to attend on Saturday, we still want to hear from you in particular if you have being affected by the recent changes to the 239 Hospital service and there's a variety of other way you can get in touch and let us know your concerns by going to my website at www.anthonymckeown.info for further information"
