children to take up a book and read.
Across the country and in over a 100 countries around the world events will
be taking on Thursday to do this, the day is also used to encourage adults
to read with the union learn website flagging up that 10 new quick reads
will also be launched on World Book Day.
Quick reads have been identified as been of great help to adults who
struggle to read, with the scheme been highlighted as helping to increase
confidence and boost job prospect.
