HPCH Board Meeting

Last Wednesday evening saw a meeting this month normal meeting of the board
of High Peak Community Housing.

The meeting in my view had a bit of an unnecessarily bumpy start for the
councillor members at least, something that I think will be explored further
in the future, but as it relates to a confidential discussion item it's not
something I can clarify that much here at the moment.

Following the confidential discussion around the management fee, the meeting
went on to discuss reports on finance and performance, updates from the
chair and chief executive, along with minutes from the various board sub
groups and a report on Governance.

The meeting also considered a report on the Tenant Service Authority, a body
which will eventually become the 'regulator' for all providers of 'social
housing' with local authorities and ALMO's such as High Peak Community
Housing expecting to come under it's gaze from April 2010.

As part of the preparations for this the TSA are holding what they call a
national conversation to gain tenants views of what future service standard
should be, and as part of this HPCH has held 3 local consultation events in
the north, central and south of the borough to get local views on this.
