Charge Sub Committee, which aside from noting the result of the congestion
charge, also considered what to do with the issues we had raised during our
deliberations on the charge.
Initially a report will go to one of the select committees that set us up,
along with a report following that going to the executive and for
consideration during the 'local plan' (or as it is now local development
framework) process, so that the issues raised around parking at stations etc
are not lost and can be followed up in other ways.
One other issues we identified was around the need for a clear single group
to flag up and identify the various transport issues across the High Peak
because whilst there is a number of bodies looking at various issues on
transport such as some of the friends groups there appears to be no single
group looking at the whole range of transport issues across the High Peak.
