Veolia Takes Over

From Monday 4th August Veolia Environmental Services have taken over the
running of the Council's waste and recycling service.

The contract that will run for 7 years will see Veolia take over the
collection of all commercial and domestic waste and recycling from the
Borough's homes and businesses.

The contract will also see the introduction of a new fleet of vehicles which
have been designed to improve the efficiency of kerbside collections, as
well as maximise High Peak's overall recycling rates.

The contract which will also see the council staff currently running the
service transferring to Veolia will add to the several council contracts
from across Derbyshire that Veolia hold.

However members of the public should not notice any changes to
refuse/recycling collection service apart from some new vehicles and staff
uniforms.
