Also flagged up during the question and answer session at the area forum was the continued need for the Gamesley Station.
The proposals for the station are included within the saved policies from the local plan which were approved by the recent full council meeting, and were flagged up during last week’s area forum meeting.
The proposals are also been considered as part of a study that is currently been done on the Glossop to Manchester line by the various rail bodies and both the borough and county council’s which will report back later in the year.
