about policing issues.
The meeting which took place at the Hadfield site of Glossopdale Community
College had a reasonable good attendance with members of the public just
about outnumbering the officers and councillors present.
It started with a presentation on updates from the last forum along with
updated on going local projects which have seen improvements to the Old Hall
conservation area in Hadfield, Hadfield Industrial Estate and improvements
to the Harehill Park / Wren Nest Mill area.
Presentation's were then made by the police about policing priorities and
the policing plan, safer neighbourhood teams and partnership working.
Finally there were questions and concerns raised (similar to the last
meeting) about parking within Glossop town centre, which under current plans
will see the current 2 hour free parking cancelled once works have been
completed, along with suggestions for a parmament taxi rank on Henry Street
as opposed to the current night time only rank.
