Health and safety committee

Last Tuesday evening saw a meeting of the buildings and health and safety
committee of the Governors at St Margaret's school.

No major issues to report on aside from ongoing concerns with regards to
fence that separates the school from the railway which network rail are been
'awkward' about keeping under good repair but which will hopefully improve
following the intervention of local MP Tom Levitt.

A good job has been done on the repairs to the school hall, which further
improvements expected following it's redecoration which is due to start
shortly.

Finally we had a brief review of progress on a scheme to better utilise a
spare room in school by it's conversation to a 'kitchen / cooking room' -
community facility which thanks to the support of High Peak Community
Housing / the big lottery will currently be completed.
