Football News

A great day for Gamesley’s first team yesterday, who beat Cromford 5 – 1 in the first round of the Derbyshire Cup. The game which saw goals from Yates, Arrowsmith and Capper amongst others saw Gamesley leading 1 – 0 at half time with a flurry of goals during the second half including one back for Cromford after Gamesley had scored the third.

Alas further bad news for the reserves with a 3 – 0 defeat away to Daten Reserves, hopefully better news will follow next when the reserves face Poynton Reserves in the first round of the league cup (kick off 1.45pm) with the first team at home to Middlewich Town in the league.

Kick off 2.15pm at the Melandra Park Ground at the back of the Sport and Community Centre on Melandra Castle Road.
