As mentioned earlier Tuesday saw a meeting of the Tenants Panel, an interesting meeting covering amongst things : gardens and grounds maintenance, Christmas tree’s, Apollo heating and there recent takeover.
The meeting also featured a presentation from Inspector Stuart Thompson covering what the 3 beat teams (Hadfield, Padfield and Tintwistle; Gamesley, Chisworth and Charlesworth; Glossop, Whitfield and Simmondley) in Glossopdale are working on. Stuart also included details on the Neighborhood Watch schemes that are currently been setup in the area, included the 14 currently running on Gamesley.
An important part of the Tennent Panel meeting’s (and one of the reasons for my call for more Gamesley residents to attend) is overseeing what the ‘Panel Budget’ is use for. This pot of money is available and can be used to do a variety of schemes to help improve local area in or around HPCH land. At the meeting on Tuesday, two schemes were approved for Gamesley, one for ‘sponsorship’ for a Christmas Lights Competition, the other for extra funds to help with a refurbishment scheme for the park on Edale.
