Over the last week or so, there have been a number of people contacting both the GRA and myself over rumors about the possible withdrawal of the 239-bus service, which calls at Tameside Hospital.
The rumors stem from the end of January when a rival service was set up on the 239 route, running just a few minutes before the existing one, but not calling at the Hospital.
However after checking with the Public Transport Unit at Derbyshire County Council, the service is expected to continue on the same route and timetable as at current but with a change of operator coming to the service before the end of March.
Similarly from the information they have at current there are also no expected changes to the 394 service which runs between Glossop, Gamesley and Stepping Hill Hospital.
