Labour Group AGM

Last night (Wednesday) saw the High Peak Labour Group's AGM.

The main change was a change in Deputy Leader of the Group, with myself taking over from Glossop's Jacqui Wilkinson as Deputy Leader of the Labour Group.

There was also a few other minor changes, the main of these being for myself, moving from the Environment Select Committee to being a member of the Corporate Select Committee, a move which will be a bit of a shame in a way as I've being a member of the Environment Select for the majority of time I've being on the council including several stints as either chair or vice chair.

Group meeting

Last Thursday evening saw a pre summer break group meeting, the main items under discussion were updates from the members of the various select committees. Also discussed was the report on the pay phone review, the forthcoming local government white paper and a few areas for future consideration after the summer break.
