On Sunday I attended the 40th Anniversary Service for Gamesley Church.
The service which was attended by the Right Rev'd Alastair Redfern Bishop of Derby, along with a number of the ministers that have served the area including Keith Bell, Chris Rowbury and Gerry Moat.
The service also included recollections on how the church hall got to be built in the area along with view on the history and future of the church.
Picture above is local's Shirley and May who were among the original attenders when the church opened cutting a cake that was prepared to celebrate the anniversary.
