Football News

Good news from the first team with both their games this week resulting in a win, the mid week match on Wednesday ended in a 2 – 1 win against Stalybridge Celtic Reserves and yesterday’s (Saturday 22nd August) match against Crossfields / Rylands ending in a 3 - 2 win.

This cracking start to the season means that after the first 3 games, Gamesley are currently 2 points clear at the top of the league.

The reserves also had a good day yesterday with a 1 all draw against Crosfields/Rylands Reserves.

This coming week sees the first team on Tuesday (25th August) off to Abbey Hey for the return league fixture against Stalybridge Celtic Reserves, followed by a home tie on Saturday (29th August) against Billinge FC, kick off is 3.00pm please come along and support the team if you can.

The reserves this week are at home on Thursday (27th August) evening to Denton Town Reserves (kick off 6.30pm) followed by another home match the following Tuesday (1st September) against Poynton Reserves.
