Last Saturday (15th August) saw a good day for both the first and reserve teams with both clocking up wins in there league ties.
The first team were at home to recently promoted Eagle Sports, with the match ending in a 3 – 1 win for the home side, with the reserves wining 5 – 3 away to Billinge Reserves a team who beat them in both league ties last season (6-0 and 3-2).
This coming week sees a mid week tie for the first team on Wednesday evening (19/8/09) when they face Stalybridge Celtic Reserves at home (6.30pm kick off) followed by an away tie on Saturday when they face Crosfields/Rylands.
The reserves this week get a week off in a sense with no mid week game, and have there first home game of the season on Saturday when they face the reserve side of the first team’s opponent Crosfields/Rylands(3.00pm kick off).
