number of area's around Glossopdale, including Glossop, Hadfield,
Tintwistle, Gamesley, Charlesworth.
The scheme which has proved successful since been set up in New Mills /
Hayfield involves members of the Safer Neighbourhood Teams working with
local residents. All are trained using speedguns and go to 'hot spots'
identified by the community as having a problem with speeding motorists.
Vehicles speeds are then checked for a period of time (possibly an hour or
so) and letters are written to the keepers/drivers informing them of their
offending!
Volunteers are required in all areas of Glossopdale for this initiative, and
