Football News / Good Luck Glossop North End

Mixed news for the first team this week, with a mid week 3 – 1 win away to Curzon Ashton Reserves, followed by a 1 – 0 defeat on Saturday (21st March) when they faced the same team at home. Similar bad news for the reserves who suffered a 3 – 0 defeat away to Golborne Sports Reserves.

This coming Saturday (28th March) sees the first team away to Pilkington FC with the reserves at home to Rylands/Crosfields Reserves, followed by a mid week home game on Thursday against Poynton Reserves.

Gamesley Villa (under 11’s) had a good week with a 5 – 2 win against Ashton United SC 11's, next week sees a top of the table clash against Brendon Bees 11's who Gamesley Villa drew against earlier in March.

The under 13’s Sunday side had another good week with a 3 – 1 win away to Clayton Villa 13's, next Sunday sees them away again for a semi final Challenge Cup tie against Moorside JFC 13's.

Best wishes and good luck as well for Glossop North End who have the first leg of their FA Vase Semi Final away to Chalfont St Peter. For those like myself who are unable to go to the away leg can listen to live match coverage on High Peak Radio.
