Gamesley landmark project

You may have seen a poster or leaflet recently from Groundwork Gamesley who
are currently consulting on proposals to construct a 'landmark' entrance to
the estate on ground next to the bus stop on Cottage Lane.

The landmark which from the details available would be 1 meter high and 7
meters wide, built in stone in a shape to fit the site and carved with the
word 'Gamesley' on the front would be built by locals who have studied dry
stone walling over the summer.

Consultation on the proposal is ongoing at current with local residents near
to the proposed site receiving a leaflet on the proposals, and it is also
been an item for consideration at the Safer Neighbourhood Team meeting on
Thursday 13th November at 2.00pm in the GRA Office.
