Christmas Market

From 5.30pm until 9.00pm on Thursday 27th November this years festive
market. Taking place as with previous years on the shops at Winster Mews
this year's event promises to be even better than past years.

This year's event promises to be bigger and brighter with performances from
Gamesley schools, Street and Break dancing from Dynamite Dance, Live Music,
performance from the Powderkegs Morris Dancers and a Fire Poi Dance.

The market will have 16 covered stalls selling everything from Christmas
Gifts and Toys to Arts and Crafts, children's clothes and Christmas Trees.
The will also be a number of community groups and local schools raising
money for their groups through raffles, tombolas and lucky dips, along with
a range of children's rides and activities including a bouncy castle and
festive face painting!

The market will be opened by the Mayor of the High Peak, and Father
Christmas and his Reindeer will be visiting Gamesley! Families can have a
professional framed photo taken with Father Christmas, a lovely gift!

There will also be a tasty Hog Roast Stall and Homemade cakes and Mulled
Wine from the Children's Centre, Hot food and drinks will also be provided
by Gamesley Community Café.

The Festive Market is organised by Groundwork Gamesley, Big Lottery Project
supported by High Peak Community Housing, The Gamesley Residents
Association, Community Café, The Melandra Castle Pub, The Children's Centre,
Gamesley Community Centre, Derbyshire County Council, Derbyshire Adult
Community Education, The Cadets, Gamesley Primary School, Gamesley Library,
St Margaret's Primary School, Derbyshire Constabulary, the Fire Service,
British Red Cross, Tameside and Glossop PCT and local shops agencies and
businesses.
