Things to be aware of .

Next week from Saturday 12th until Sunday 20th July is National Archaeology
Week.

The nine day series of events which is coordinated by the Council for
British Archaeology aims to encourage everyone, and especially young people
and their families to visit sites of archaeological/historical interest or
museums, heritage and similar centres, to see archaeology in action and to
take part in activities at these sites to give you an opportunity to explore
and discover the archaeological heritage of the United Kingdom.

Examples of events taking place during the week include excavation open
days, various hands-on activities, family fun days, guided tours,
exhibitions, lectures, ancient art and craft workshops and much, much more.
