Thursday evening saw a meeting of the High Peak Labour Party's executive
looking at a number of issue's including amendments to the current batch of
policy document's and setting the agenda for the next GC meeting which will
take place at the end of the month.
The majority of the amendments that we supported were suggested by some of
the campaign groups we have links to including the Manchester based
socialist health association and the Campaign for Labour Party Democracy.
In terms of this months GC meeting, we will have Peter Wheeler a member of
the Labour Party's National Executive Committee as a guest speaker, along
with a motion from our Buxton Branch on changes to the setup for payments to
pensioners.
