group.
The presentations from the Councils Enforcement Officer and the manager of
the dog warden service were informative with one important issue been
highlighted during both talks.
That issue was that in order to make sure resources are targeted at the
right place, locals need to complain more than they are doing at current, as
both of the guest speakers commented that 'calls for service' for either the
dog warden or the enforcement officer were lower than in other areas of the
borough.
In order to address some of the issues identified raised during the talks, a
campaign is been put together to raise awareness of and hopefully highlight
measurers to tackle dog fouling.
In the meantime if dog fouling, roaming dogs or for that matter anything is
causing concern in your area please complain about it, some easy ways of
doing this are by calling into to the HPCH housing officer on Winster Mews,
calling the council on 0845 129 77 77 (local number 01457 851600) or on the
web at www.highpeak.gov.uk
The meeting also covered updates from the Glossopdale Young Women's Group
which are likely to be reviewing and increasing slightly the age range they
cover along with the circulation of a draft Good Neighbour Agreement listing
both issues that High Peak Community Housing will work on, but also what
expectations they have for tenants, and details of a litter pick been
planned with the schools to celebrate National Neighbours Day which is
taking place on Gamesley on Tuesday 20th May.
