Work your proper hours day

This Friday is (22nd February) is work your proper hours day an event to highlight a campaign led by the TUC who advise that Friday is the day when the average person who does unpaid overtime finished the unpaid days they do every year and starts earning for themselves.

The TUC advises that nearly five million people in the UK regularly do unpaid overtime giving an average of £4955 of free work a year, and as such they believe that they day you start earning for yourself is something to celebrate.

They recommend that on Friday you should make the most of your own free time and their website at http://www.worksmart.org.uk/workyourproperhoursday/index.php offers a range of tips and tools on who you can go about this, along with information on restoring your work life balance and the option to send your boss an anonymous Boss-A-Gram to inform them about the campaign.
