European Elections 2009

Following on from the reselection of Glenis Willmott MEP, labour party
members across the East Midlands should by now have recivied the ballot
papers for the preferential ranking of new candidates for the regional list.

We have a choice of four to place in our prefered order with the top placed
candidate getting the number two slot following Glenis Willmott MEP.

First up in the group of new candidates is former labour party regional
director Roy Kenedy, followed by former Northamptonshire County Councillor
David J Morgan, along with current vice chair of the regional board Kathryn
Salt and former Grantham local Cate Taylor.

Voting is now open and if you are a member of the Labour Party please use
your vote before the deadline in March.

My own prefernce at current is to support Roy Kenedy for the top spot due to
his experience as a former regional director, which should mean he will have
a good grasp of the issues across the region, with my thoughts on the rest
undicided.

If you are a party member and you haven't recivied you ballot paper or you
would like more information please let me know.
