Gamesley’s first teams run of bad luck continued on Saturday with a 3 – 1 defeat against Buxton Town in the Derbyshire Cup.
This would normally mean that Gamesley’s Derbyshire Cup run would be over for this season but following an incident early in the second half, the match was abandoned, leaving open the slim possibility of a rematch.
However from the few rumours I am aware regarding the incident I don’t think that a rematch is likely.
No match last week due to the weather for the second team, who next week should face Garswood United away in the first round of the Presidents Cup, with no game yet scheduled for the first team.
