Not quite as catchy as the original on Las Vegas, but shortly following the recent decision on the ‘super casino’, mine and quite a few people from Gamesley’s original homes, may well end up been able to rival at least one of the ‘super casino’s on the Las Vegas strip.
Now various other places have listed the pro’s and con’s over increasing the amount of casino’s, but I expect that given the work that Manchester has already done on regeneration, I am sure that the final scheme put together by Manchester will meet the various regeneration targets intended, and deliver the expected benefits for residents in that area.
My only concern with the process is that in my view, out of the ‘final’ bidders Blackpool had a better, more deserving case for the expected ‘regeneration’ boost, from the casino plan, whereas the other area’s because of there nature may have access to other means of getting the expected boost.
