On Friday, I went and seen the new film Eragon, which is based on the first of the inheritance series of book’s by Christopher Paolini. The film, which has not received strong praise from the critics, was in my view, quite entertaining and just the thing in the run up festive season. The film also covered the story within the book quite well, and I hope will do sufficient business at the cinema to allow the filming of part two of the story at some point in the future.
Sky on Sunday and Monday night, had a treat for any fans of Terry Pratchett with the TV version of the Hogfather. Which for those who aren’t fans is a Christmas themed story set in the ‘Discworld’, a mythical place similar to Earth, but not quite the same.
The TV version spread over 2 hours each night, in view did justice to the book, covering the story very well, with a good choice of actors for the various main parts, if you didn’t catch it you missed a treat, very funny and entertaining, catch it on repeat if you can.
